Procurement under this project will be conducted using the EBRD Client E-Procurement Portal (ECEPP). State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (hereinafter “INPP”) intends to use a Grant (subject to approval by the Assembly of Ignalina International Decommissioning Support Fund administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) towards the costs of the RADIOACTIVE WASTE INTERIM STORAGE FACILITY PROJECT. The project will involve activities enabling the dismantling of the INPP (Unit 1 and Unit 2) reactor cores by establishing a Reactor Waste Interim Storage Facility (hereinafter – RWISF) capable of accommodating all residual long-lived waste pending its deep geological disposal. In particular this will include procurement of the engineering consultancy services for development of the RWISF design through reconstruction design of the Solid Radioactive Waste Treatment Facility (including the safety justification), as well as procurement of the design implementation supervision services for the stage of RWISF construction works.
