The African Development Bank (AfDB), through the Fund for African Private Sector Assistance (FAPA), has awarded a USD 1 million grant to support programme activities, particularly the development of South Africa’s Skills Development Zones (SDZs). This support strengthens national efforts to build a dynamic, demand-led green skills ecosystem that enables South Africans – especially youth, women, and workers in transitioning coal regions – to access emerging job opportunities in the green economy.
