The Republic of Uzbekistan has applied for Project Preparation Special Fund (PPSF) financing in the amount of 2.8 mln USD equivalent from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB or the Bank) toward the project preparatory activities of the proposed Modernization of Irrigation Infrastructure in Tashkent Region Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project. 2. The main activities under PPSF will include project preparatory activities including feasibility study consulting services, audit services, project coordinator, procurement advisory services, financial management advisory services and environment and social advisory services. 3. Procurement of contracts financed by the Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the AIIB’s Directives on Procurement Instruction for Recipient (July 2024) and is open to all eligible firms and individuals. 4. Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available on the Bank’s external website and on official website of Center www.center-min-water.uz and on website of Tenderweek (tenders in Uzbekistan) www.tenderweek.com, 5.
