General Procurement Notice 1. Funding Details The above named client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the cost of the above named project. Additional financing information: EBRD Loan - EUR 8,535,000 GCF - EUR 8,150,000 Other Grants - EUR 4,875,000 2. Information on the Project Project Description: The Project aims to address pressing environmental, health and safety concerns related to carbon intensive and worn-out DH infrastructure. It will help to (i) reduce heat losses and electricity consumption, (ii) decarbonise parts of the system by replacing coal fired boiler houses with renewable and electrified capacity, (iii) enhance operational reliability, (iv) improve the energy efficiency through improved system control, as well as (v) assist the BTE’s long-term financial sustainability. BTE’ Priority Investment Programme (PIP), developed following the Feasibility Study, includes the following components: (i) modernisation of boiler houses, (ii) installation of renewable heat sources, (iii) installation of individual heating substations (IHS), (iv) rehabilitation of DH network, (v) installation of SCADA and (vi) procurement of specialised vehicles. Other Information Contracts will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and are open for participation for firms from any country, unless otherwise specified in the procurement documents.
